Backfire question

I testrode my first Busa the other day and noticed it backfiring during decelleration. The owner said that it is normal and all Busa's do it. True? or is the bike not running right?

did it have an aftermarket exhaust on it? If the pair valve or marble mod havent been done to a busa with a aftermarket exhaust it will backfire on decel. Very fixable condition...

even with the pair blocked on after market pipes during deceleration you can get "pop's"... (this is normal on deceleration) but if it is doing it during acceleration I would do some checking in to it first.

+1000 on the marble mod. If you do some search under my old threads, I had the same issues. i did the marble mod and it took 5 min and my bike sounds awesome and no more flames and pops...

i get the pops also under deceleration
no big deal
think it has to do with the FI going lean under a closed throttle situation

mine only poped prior to having it tuned right.... no pops since then. I wouldn't be happy if my tune still left me with pops.
