Backlash Problem

Took my Busa to the dealer for its 4000 mi checkup (running great, no problems) and when I rode it home, it seems to be very "snachy" through all the gear changes. Kind of felt like the chain was adjusted to loose but that turned out not to be the case, any ideas?

check your oil level.....were you running synthetic or a blend? and they just put regular oil in it. I have to specify which oil i want every time i change.........

Because the tranny uses the same oil as the the rest of the engine. If you had used a synthetic or a blend your tranny would feel smoother. When you took your bike in for the 4000 an oil change is part of that service. If you didnt specify which oil to put in they would put regular mc oil in as suzuki does not recommed a synthetic or blend oil. By having the regular oil you might feel the tranny being snatchy.......

I didn't specify the type of oil on the first or second service but it didn't have the problem the first time around, so I don't think it's oil related. I did try adjusting the chain but that didn't help either. Question, if the chain is worn out, will you still get backlash even if you tighten the chain up? Although when I think about it, the bike ran fine when I took it in and was different when I got it back, so that probably isn't it.

Another question, If the mechanic cause a small air leak or disturbed a sensor in some way, might this cause the problem? This is really taking the fun out of cornering.
