I got the plastic back off of the bike yesterday and took the fairing stay off. When I put everything back on the bike this summer, the inners that go around the gauge cluster didn't want to line up on the screw hole in the middle. Posted the problem and everyone suggested that it was probably the Moto Brackets stay I'd used.
Got the offending stay off and out with the ruler. A full 1/4" higher on one end, and offset to one side by 1/8". It's on it's way back, and Moto Brackets is sending me another one. Bought it up the street at the parts/service shop, so it isn't costing me anything in the way of shipping either.
Normally I understand that Moto Brackets make quality stuff, so I'm writing it off as my usual bad luck that happens every so often. But you can bet I put a tape on the next one before I put it on the bike. This has been about a royal PITA.
