I bought aluminum stock off ebay. Sems like I got 7/8" or 1"?

If you have a metal dealer that carries small sizes and will retail it try there.

I used 1/2 inch galvanised pipe. Cut them to length, painted em black, and installed them with longer bolts.

ok i got some spacers from lowes, 1inch steel... but now i am wondering how to keep the triple tree from moving around since those rubber inserts that are around the forks keep it in place...what did ya'll do ?

No they don't.. ??? Just take out the 4 old bolts and reinstall the the top clamp with the spacers and 4 new longer bolts.
