Barber With Zemke..

I love that stuff, but now I'm depressed. I timed a 1:31 lap using the entry into the 180 as the mark. First lap in was 1:14 at that point then 2:45 the second time. If my math is right, that's a 1:31 lap!

For the depressed part, my best to date is a 1:44 ugh, gonna be tough to squeeze another 13 seconds out!

You are also not an AMA racer that has spent his life doing it and have many many thousands dumped into the bike in suspension and tuning.... I look at that and say " heck yea i'm only 13 seconds slower han Jake Zemke!"

You have my permission to be faster than him...I'll gladly be your pit crew.

He also doesn't have a brand new 1000 either, although knowing Charlie he probably has more money stuck into his than Jordan Motorsports!

There's a lot to be learned form that short little flick, Charlie. Remember that body position chat recently? Pay attention to Jake's outside arm how it's laying on the tank with the elbow slightly bent. If the arm is on the tank that means the head is down. Look at your photos and compare your outside arm and head high position.

Notice when (Before he closes the throttle) Jake gets off his bike going into a corner and how straight up the bike is when he gets back on it.

Also, listen to the bike and take notice of where Jake cracks the throttle and at what point he is at full throttle.

Remember who said this: "In a corner, once the throttle is cracked open it must be rolled on EVENLY, SMOOTHLY and CONTINOUSLY throughout the remainder of the turn. Now class, repeat this one thousand times"?

Coordinating your throttle roll-on with bringing the bike up is how to maximize your drive off any corner on any bike.

Yep, these next 13 seconds will be much more difficult than the previous 13 seconds! :beerchug:
