I havent painted in years , and havent used base coat clear coat either .. can anyone give me some advise on the nature of the stuff.. I was repainting the hump on the Busa and ended up getting a few Lil trash spots in it ( the base ) .So I guess its time to resand and shoot.. any help would be great..
PS I did notice that the oragne peal look disappeared after it dried. In the pictures I didnt clear coat it yet.

Not sure, I used a single stage and it turned out just like that, became a pro at wet sanding and turned out real nice.

How bad are the bad spots.

One spot's pretty bad .. I know it'll need sanding again. Which suckz because after it dried and the orange peal went away it looks pretty good . Wet sand and shoot. I'm using Dodge Viper blue pearl. In fact I'm sure I'll be a pro by the time I'm finished . I have a spare complete set of plastics hanging on my wall calling my name..
question on Kanji stickers . Base coat / stickers / clear or base /clear stickers and clear again..?

What gun are you useing. You can wet sand with 1500, Or 2000. If the orange is bad it might be there when the clear is on. It all depends on the clear you are useing. it looks like your gun is set to small or you are to far away. Its dry.

A friend loaned me a HVLP.. Yor are correct , at first it was too small.. I turned it up a little..
Maybe I should break out my Ol Devilbiss I was use too..

Lay the paint to it and then water sand and buff it. It works just like lacquer paint did in the old days. Just put plenty on it.

Over reducing the color coat or clear is against the manufacture mix list because of voc laws but it will make it easier to spray a flat coat / less peel look. The solvent you pick to reduce also should match the temp where you are spraying..or get a solvent that will dry a hair slower than what your temp actually is...the reason is it will help you keep a wet edge while getting around the panels.
