Best Central FL Dealer???

After what I've been through with my Buell, I want to start off on the right foot this time

I hope asking for such info is OK. I don't want to put anyone or any dealers on the spot.

I'm very close to being ready to buy. I live in Lakeland, FL.  I don't don't mind paying a little extra or driving a little distance if the service is good.  Then again if all the service is pretty much the same, (excellent from what I hear) is anyone known for providing better deals/pricing?? So far everyone seems to be quoting full MSRP plus.  I keep reading about $9800 out the door but that's not close to what I'm seeing around here.  I'm hoping my CASH will talk a little louder than it's been doing so far

Thanks in advance.

You may want to check with the forum over at superkaos.com. A lot of members on that forum are located in Florida. Good Luck!

Rongotti and SGT Buell are probably the most recent folks to purchase from FL on the board. Rongotti went through a very difficult struggle trying to get his bike. Maybe PM him for insights he didn't include in his post. I'll see if I can find that one.

Here's the original post:  <a href="https://www.hayabusa.org/cgi-bin/busa/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=6;t=15143;hl=rongotti">Suzuki Dream<a>.

Thanks guys, just joined and asked the same question over at Kaos.

Ron Turner is the only one that replied to an online quote I filled out the other day!! Jax is too damn far anyway. Maybe it was tied into his dealership, not sure.

I'm partial to Motorsports here in Tampa.
I've been buying bikes there since 1993.
They sell Honda, Kawasaki & Suzuki
Disclaimer notice. I worked there for 2 years.(2000-2002)
I still run their twice monthly shop ride.

Thanks in advance.
I bought mine at SKY in Lakeland from salesman Brady. The sales experience was good and they will deal. If your looking for a place where you can have a good Sales AND Service experience, don't go to Sky.

There are deals out there, you just have to shop around.Having said that, you'll have to weigh how bad you want a busa vs. distance willing to travel.Unfortunately, despite the lack of any design change since it's inception, the demand for busa's hasn't slowed! That's a minus for perspective buyers.NJ.

I got mine at cycle riders of orlando. I had several baaadd experiences with sky in lakeland. I havent spoken to anyone who has had a good experience with them. You should visit several dealers and see the feeling they give you. Just my $.02. Hope this helps you.

I bought mine at Sky here in Lakeland. I paid too much but that is my fault not theirs. I find the people there nice but unqualified (in my opinion) to work on/ or maintain pretty much anything motorized. I talked with a friend today that has a friend that bought a new '05 OTD for $10,500 including tax tag title and warranty earlier this week here locally. MSRP is $ 10,899. so deals can be had. If things don't get too hectic I'll try to get the dealership and salesman's name 4 ya.

Thanks guys!!

I'll hit Sky in Lake Wales tomorrow and see how it goes. I was told by a local customer that ARS Powersports in Okeechobee will actually beat any written offer by $200 like they advertise in Cycle Trader. If the wife is up to it, maybe we'll take a ride and check them out as well.

Mooses,

I would appreciate that salesmans name. That's a great deal compared to what I've seen so far!

I got mine from Nature Motorsports in Clear River, Fl. and i'm from Valdosta GA, 3 hr ride, but i saved 2000. 9800 was the sticker 10300 out the door...

I agree. I talked with them at Sky when I was looking for my Busa last summer. They were very nice to deal with, but didn't have the color I wanted. I ended up buying from a dealer in St. Augustine.

We bought the Busa and that Katana from Chuck at Motorsports in Tampa. He is willing to deal, and we've always had a good experience there.

I've heard good things about motorsports. My friend called a dealer in Okeechobee for his 05 and they were the cheapest in the state.

Well, we made it to Sky in Lake Wales, didn't make it to Okeechobee though.  They have a red/black 05 with 1200 miles and an Akrapovic exhaust for "about 11k"  It looked like it had spent the past week out in the rain and needed a good cleaning up.  Probably not a big deal at all, it just struck me as kind of odd.   New ones are "about" 12k.  The salesman was kind of vague but I did mention it would be at least a few weeks before I could actually buy. He wanted me to finance one

If the used one was inside and looking as new, I may well have put a deposit on it.  I'm in no rush though.

I'm going to make the trip to Okeechobee just to see what they are like before I plop down my $$$$  I'll probably check out Tampa as well since I'm often over there.

Now that I've seen all the 05 colors in person, I still can't decide. At least I won't be running around looking for a certain color!!!

Thanks again for the suggestions!

Okecheebee is the place to go, www.arspowersports.com,
I talked to Deana, I think she said $10,200 OTD, for the regular Busa.
Im not sure how far that is from lakeland, probibly about 3 hours or so.
I have a deposit on a Limited there, ($10,450 otd).

They quoted me $10,200 otd for my 04 le (new). The local dealer here wanted 13,500! I took the low quote with me and made them match it. I loved watching them cry. I made them think I was going to finance it so they would give it to me cheap and think they would rape me on the interest-then I wrote a check!

No matter what I'm going to make the trip to Okeechobee, probably one day this week. I just Mapquested it, 102 miles, not bad.

I was all set in not having any favorite  color.  After reading all the posts about the LE model my brain is spinning.  Thanks guys
