What's the best tank bag you've found for your Hayabusa here in the U.S.? I'd like something I could do a bit of sport-touring with.

I use the tank bag (brand name is Marsee) from pro italia part number RM3014. Its big enough to hold most of your items and it will stay on until 185 miles an hour. It might stay on faster but i havent been faster yet,......but i will. It is a magnetic type. It has been the perfect bag for me. Two other of my friends have the same bag and love it. Pro Italia's phone number is 818-249-5707. Open tuesday thru saturday. It sells for 99.95 plus tax. Ask for Tanny in parts.......Hope this helps. Yes its Tanny.....not Danny.......

Contact ItalJet in New York they are the importer for Bagster products. I have one of their tank covers and can only say that it really is a better product than the than the Second Look product. Bagster makes several tank bags that snap right on to the tank cover, and they make seat covers as well. There products are also sold at BMW dealers. 1-800-ITALJET.

I have a Suzuki Hayabusa tank bag it works really well but I am still waiting for a rain cover (backorder) , the suzuki copper colored tank bag looks like poop (BAD color match) buy the Black one.

Eclipse bags are really good product as well

I use a Eclipse Sport Tank Bag. It's harness attached with quick release system, comes with a rain cover and is expandable if needed, and it is not a 'square design.' If you have the Black/Gray Busa, you can color match the bag to bike by buying the Black/Red or Black/Gray.

Hey I'm with VegasDude on this one. The Marsee tank bags look great and are well built. I have a magnetic 30L size, RM-3031. In the collapsed mode it's 8 in. high and I use it this way most all the time. If you end up at the store and find you have something large to bring home you can unzip one zipper and it pops up to 13 in. high. I bought the bag to carry enough gear for a 5 day trip. If you just need something for "commuting" or day trips I'd go for one of the smaller Marsee's. No straps or buckles to scratch up the tank; it has a rubberized bottom. Magnets make it quick/easy to remove at gas stops.

I've tested the 30L bag up to 180 mph indicated and it stays put. But an 8-10 inch high object on the tank can keep you from getting into a full tuck which makes 170+ mph speeds a little uncomfortable on the neck muscles. I'd go for the shorter Marsee bag, like VegasDude's, if you routinely explore the upper end of the Busa velocity spectrum. Oh, Marsee has excellent cutomer serivce. Most times that I call I talk to Rex Marsee himself. He helped me solve some last minute trip prep problems a couple of times and did overnight shipments (800-293-2400, 909-694-9742).
