Best tire for drag racing?

Anyone here have any experience with any kind of drag tires? Looking to invest in something that won't spin. Thanks

This is a much-debated topic. Do a search and check the discussion out for yourself, but the general consensus by those that drag race a lot is that the Shinko 003, or Shinko UltraSoft are the best tires for this application. You will find guys that use other stuff, but those are the most popular.

I'll look into that, thanks.

Also you'll find drag racing info in the 1/4 mile section...

I use a Shinko 003 also, it don't corner real well, and it spins like a drunk sorority girl on the street if it's not heated up good, but on the track it works real well.

It will "mostly" be for track use, my goal is to try and turn a 9sec pass with a moderately stock bike and a few bolt-ons. The D208 that I have now isn't worth a #### for cornering, drag racing or anything else other than just plain cruising.

Pipe, strap, lowering links, PC, Shinko, 16/42 and in the 9's you will be. You might add an extended arm to the list if you wanna make it easier, but it's not required. Also keep in mind the rules of the track where you intend to accomplish this goal, full leathers, gloves, kill switch, license, etc.
