Need to ship a tire I sold, what is the best route to go about it?  UPS? USPS?  Does it have to go in a box? Never shipped one, lookin for some input...cheapest way possible!

Thanks!

I received one from a guy once shipped by UPS.  It was just the tire with the UPS sticker on it, no box.

I put them in black plastic bag, then wrap with saran wrap and i usually put a label inside to cover myself if wrapper comes off...A box works good too...

I figured UPS would ship without a box. I think i've seen a friend receive one like this one time. Will take goldenchilds advice and wrap in saran wrap, just to keep the receipt on it.

Thanks guys!

They only thing about them being exposed would be if something spilled during transport.

I got mine from cyclegear in a box from UPS. USPS would prolly be more than UPS due to weight and size.

i've received them with just an address label attached to the bare tire and also in a box...i think everyone has used UPS

I shipped one from Missouri to Oklahoma USPS. Cost $15 and you do not need to do anything to prep it as long as they can stick a label on it.

I had one 15" tire to ship from NC to NY, USPS wanted ~$35, UPS wanted ~$47 for ground, and Fed Ex wanted $26 for two days.... didn't check DHL though.

1st post in a six year old thread? Hmmm?

And so are you, you no post in forever fool you....:poke:

I choose to get out and ride my bikes...lol

How you been Brother ???

MOTORCYCLESUPERSTORE sends them with cardboard to protect the sidewalls and a label on the tire. Really thats all you need. As far as shipping goes, I'd buy from MCSS any day of the week they are awesome!!
