Very interesting thread.. I can't believe how pompus those scammers are.. He is arguing in the thread throught, it's cool how the story comes together though.

Here's a link straight to the Cliff Notes.

It may be car wheels but it can happen to any of us. It shows how the community can come together and put a stop to this kind of thing. Would be nice if the LEO's really ended it tho but I guess that may take a little time.

Thanks for the post! It's a good reminder to use a credit card behind all internet purchases.

I posted this up because this Perp and his Dad have been at it for some time scamming car, motorcycle, ebay and forum users out of all sorts of cash and merchandise.

They are some slimy cats with numerous usernames, IP proxies and scumbag tactics. The more folks who hear about them the better chance we have of putting someone else who suffered loss back into the mix for possible recovery.

Other scammers who see this sort of united community action against slimebags will serve as a great deterrent in the best case.

The MBenz guys are motorheads like us, they're just playing with a different make. Modders Unite!

I only had to read the first page before i scrolled back up and reread the original post. The guy had a total of 16 posts on that forum and was selling a set of wheels and tires for $2200! Never in a million years would i jump on that... that smells of scam right away to me anyway. Thanks for the heads up though! Seen our share of scammers on here in the past.

Read part of it yesterday and was very angry at the whole thing.  I hope they do track the whole lot of 'em down and shoot them.
