I feel your pain.
I wear size 14, also. I found a pair of Timberland-waterproof-hiking boots. They are very comfortable, and provide excellent protection. The only downside to these boots: no steel toe.
Recently, I had an accident. After sliding down the pavement, 175 feet, the boots held up well, and prevented injury to my ankle/feet.
I will get another pair.
