Bike didn't start!

Hello Busa family. This is my first post to the forum and I'm loving the info. Okay here was the problem:
1) turned my ignition switch on and got all my lights and the fuel pump made that sound for a second or two
2) I hit my starter button and go no sound, lights didn't get dim, no crank what so ever
3) read my clymer book. It said check the main fuse, clutch switch, stand switch, etc
4) When I switched gears my light was green in neutral and went out when I went to another gear
5) after nothing worked I took it to the shop. They said my starter switch had some corrosion on it and the contacts weren't touching. Hopefully this helps somebody out as much as you guys have helped me

check the kickstand switch! I had that issue at the dragon a couple yrs ago. Switch was faulty and wouldn't let the bike crank at all.

I had the same thing happen and it was basically from my rear blinkers being unhooked. Unbelievable but it was one of the causes right in the manual or I would have never thought twice about it.

glad they found the issue.. a volt meter is a magic tool to most... I would be lost without mine.. :)
