bike surges at an idle

I recently installed an air shifter on my 06 LE and now my bike is surging at an idle. If I kill it and restart it, it seems to go away for a little bit. Any idea what may be causing this?

Did you install a kill box? If not its just your idle. Raise it to about 1700 rpms. It will just drop down eventually so itll be ok.

Yes I did install a kill box. It's the dual stage that came with the Muzzy Air shifter.

rg- not sure if this will help, but I had this problem of surging. Hotter the motor was, more common it would be, mainly only notice it at idle. Turns out the PCII had lost the map basically and the mechanic at the shop loaded a new one & was good to go. 10,000 later & 1 year still all good.

I don't have a power commander on the bike. It's completely stock besides being lowered front and rear and the air shifter.

i thought it was impossible for the map to be lost on the powercommander? how did this happen?

Its your kill box. Unplug it and rediagnose.

Do you think the kill box itself is bad or that I have it wired up wrong?
