If you are looking for one of those nice but pricey wheelchock/stand that you just push the front tire into ,well get yourself a copy of super streetbike magazine (Feb issue) . Inside you will find a cupon for harbor freight , they are only $39 . Got two yesterday for our bikes . You only need a 11/16 wrench to put it together and wha laa . They mount in your trailer, garage, or truckbed.

I have two of them myself which I have used since they first started selling them (started about $129 and kept coming down in price) and they are great~!~

Going to get one more...

Have 5 more coupons on my desk now waiting to be spent~!~

PS: cool looking clutch cover you have there~!!~

For the $ those are hard to beat. I do like the baxley, but they are alot of $.

I am not knocking anyone here for trying to find a deal, but in my instance I do not like the idea of putting 20K worth of bike in a 50.00 chock. I'll stick with my Baxley's.

When someone with a Harbor Freight Chock can tell me they have pulled their bike over 44,000 miles with one and had at least two instances where the tiedowns had come loose at some point and the bike remained upright, then I may consider it. This happened with my Baxley chock. (I no longer use those tie downs to say the least.)

It is one of those instances in which I am going to use something I know works as opposed to getting something for less that might work.

I've had mine in my trailer for the last 6-8 months, forgot to tie two different bikes down in it, bounced it over a few curbs, down a ditch and through the yard at my shop and the bikes havent moved. Just sayin... for what you pay, it's a great chock. Have probably put ~3-4k miles on it that way.

thanks for the post wild07. I was just wondering if they were worth a darn...if they went what you put them through...good enough for me...tx, 2hip

We toss them around at the track for pit stands too. The only real problem we have with them is on pavement, they're a B!tc# to get a bike in and out of by yourself. I even think for the one in my trailer I'm goning to weld or bolt a foot pedal onto the pivoting portion behind the tire to kick it back and over to get bikes out. I can usually grab under the nose and lift while pushing back to get it out, but it's tough when youre tired. If you've got it on pavement and someone to stand behind it, or prop it against a bumper or trailer it's easy to get into, just tough to get out by yourself. Actually probably going to pickup two more here soon, another for the trailer and one for the track... :beerchug::thumbsup:

.

Obviously the more expensive chocks can't be knocked, and don't get me wrong...they are probably a much better chock to begin with

BUT, for the money I believe this chock is well worth considering~!~

I haven't pulled 44,000 miles, but I can say that this chock has saved at least one bike from falling while on a tow. The strap came loose but my bud's Busa and it did not fall. It did lean, and I would have a hard time trusting it sitting in the chock for periods with no support, but it did not fall and saved $$$ of damage~!~

My buddy uses them for his and his wifes goldwings and trailers them. So he's got 60K worth of bike , and hey I got insurance . Its just for my garage anyway . If you are trailering your bike that is why you strap it down with a canyon dancer . But I ride when I go somewhere so unless its broke it is never in a trailer . Just saying.:poke:

i dont have a issue with my $39 HF chock/stand. i liked the set up so much that i own 4 of them. 2 for the garage and 2 for the trailer. Expensive isn't always better IMO.

I need to get a trailer so I can put one of those in it!! Thanks for sharing the info on a really good.
