I agree that it was probably a friend, also, it's not the same bike as the speedo.  The speedo they are showing is a Busa, the bike they are showing is a street-fighter, with a buddy on an R1.  You can clearly see the windscreen in the speedo shot, but the bike that is shown doesn't have any fairings or windshield on it.
