I'm currently rebuilding a gearbox. I want it to take almost all the abuse I throw at it, how much will I gain replacing the internals with

Big CC Hayabusa Wide Ratio Billet Gearbox - Hayabusa Race Engine parts Turbo Motorcycle and Performance Bike Tuning by Big CC Racing

As I understand it, I will get quicker launch and a higher top speed as well, is that correct?

As you can read in another thread I had some problems with my box, it turned out to be a broken shift fork, the two others are badly worn as well.
I need all three replaced of course and will add billet steel shafts, but do I really gain much more reliability adding the billet gearbox or is it just overkill? I can't see any wear on the gears at all except one of the gears dogs are worn, I will need to replace those gears anyway so it might make more sense replacing it all with something that is much more reliable

another thing, anyone have a diagram of the gearbox, difficult to see what gears is 3,4,5,6th

With a billet output shaft you'll be fine. Swap the fork shafts while you're replacing the forks.

i'd be interested to hear views on the use of a billet output shaft in a car. since there is no chain drive exerting a bending moment on the shaft in car usage will the crank have an easier life?
