Been a lurker here since mid-1999, enjoyed reading the tips and such. Had my 'busa ripped off today. 1999 Black&grey - cable locked to a support post plus a disk lock. Echo Park Los Angeles. No metal "drillings", filings or ANY broken bits. They must've had their eye on it for a while I guess...
Cop told me "must be a nice bike". I had to agree.

SORRY TO HEAR THAT THIS HAPPENED TOO YOU I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL .I'TS HAPPENED TOO ME ALSO AND IT PISSES ME OFF TO THIS DAY.HOPE YOU HAD INSURANCE AND CAN REPLACE IT SOON.

Post your stolen bikes frame and motor numbers, no better feeling than busting the face of a bike thief!

Except beating him with his cut off arm :)

Always leave them at least one arm attached so they can spend the rest of their life cleaning your bike in the dungeon.

Fill the moat with alligators aroung the garage, alligators like nobody - they are better than dogs for home security!

oldenslo, some area's where the crooks are watching they will unbolt the pole or pipe that your bike is attached to.Some of the crooks are using the newer Hydraulic cutters to cut cables,chain,U-locks,what ever, and now with the new 24v Dewalt tools with diamond cut attachment you can cut through anything, seen a dewalt tool cut through a car using a 24v Dewalt sawzal, demo at Home Depot.Sorry to read about your bad luck.Hope you win the lottery

Post the serial number and engine number if you have it.

WE WILL WATCH FOR IT.

One of these bikes has to surface sometime.

Sorry to hear it...I worry about parking my baby at work everyday. I am fortunate to have garage parking alongside the city police, with regular intervals of police vehicles coming in and out of the station. I don't think anything is fullproof, so what can you do, I am also currently running an alarm system with a disc lock, I just hope someone would find my neighboring beemers more appealing... ;)

I count three stolen Busas posted here so far; the one on the East Coast (?) and two in LA. First one was Aussie, now oldenslo. I hope you have some sort of good luck, a recovery, but if it was a pro grab it is unlikely. I would be so bummed out. Man, I just hope you get a lucky break.
