Just took a temperature reading, no pictures, you'll have to believe me here... Have a black parachute type nylon cover and a silver cloth type cover. Using the infrared thermometer, I shot both in direct sun in Southern California on a 90 degree day. BLACK = 192 degrees. SILVER = 134 degrees. It is well known that reflective, lighter colors are generally cooler than non-reflective, photo collecting black... but come on, man! That's a huge difference. Like about 50 degrees worth, even. Anyway, for what it's worth. Not earth shattering info here, but still, I kind of like my baby and don't want it to get heat stroke. Not that it really understands any of this, but hey. Be nice to your machines, right?
