BMC RECHARGE KIT

Sup Busa bros...havent been on the site for awhile now...Had to deploy. anyways... I have a BMC airfilter, I ordered the recharge kit, and guess what? back order lol...does anyone know if the K&N recharge hit will jack anything up?

I already did help you but here's more .

The KN filter oil is Hydrotreated Heavy Pariffinic Distillate and less than 1% Methyl Benzene along with less than 2% Methyl Lardate . The two methyls are solvents .

The flash point is not less than 392 F so it's not going to ignite on ya

and with a flash that high the other chemicals in there are not " hot " enough to harm  jack .

Even the nearly pure  hydrocracked group II base oil is altered during the process to the point that all inherent solvency from the group I it was made from is lost in the process .

There are oils called Neutral Oils that are blended/used for this and that but this group II is as neutral as it gets in my view .

The cleaner is Sodium Silicate CAS # 6834920 . If it won't harm one cotton , it won't harm the other I'd think .

So call and act like you want to buy a BMC Filter but tell them it looks like you need to use the KN stuff since their's is not available and ask if it's OK .

Then tell them some jerk
