bolt on extensions?

What do you guys think about the bolt on swingarm ext's for the busa?

I got a buddy that has some on his R1, seem to work fine.... I don't see why the Busa would be different.

They are fine to use, unless you're making BIG H.P. then I would think twice.

My brother has a set on his Busa and they work really well...I think Speedking (John Noonan) has a set on his 500+ hp Busa...if they work on his bike, they'll work on any bike...

Bolt ons are great and cheap... NYCPARTS sells them on ebay for like $165ish. Another busa rider that i run with at the drag strip runs them on his and loves them.

Here are mine on a Busa at Bonneville. Stay away from the cheap ones and go with a set that is proven.

How much would your friend charge to make another set. I may be interested in buying a set. And how much did it cost to get them anodized. With my black frame I like the black extensions.

He only made 20 sets, and not going to make anymore. $40 to have them anodized. I have not put them on my bike, and don't know if I will yet. They were his last set and I did not want to miss out on them,so I bought them. I did set them in the swing arm and they look sweet with my black frame!!! It blends in great!.

Some day I may put them on. My friend who made them runs them on his turbo 1000 and turbo busa.

I was not planing on selling them, but open to offers.. anyplace I looked to anodized ones were 350-395 bones... and that is crazy!

My Extension are $270.00 plus shipping. I can have them Powered Coat them Black. Anodizing can get scratched.

Anodizing is "grown" into the metal...Will not scratch easy!! These are hardcoated!! Powdercoating chips,peels,scratches and not as a good look. I would sell the set above for $300 shipped! with brake bar. They are as pictured, never used. Picture is of actual set.
I'm sure gixx1300r's are nice, But I personaly like the look of anodizing better.
