Bolt-Ons / System with NO PCR ??

Am I right in saying a Busa will run fairly OK with just Bolt-ons,
but, most of you (?) run PCR's when you go to a full System ??
(that is, a 'race'-type system)

Is it that the engine will be running 'weak', or, just run better/
smoother/better-power with the PCR ??

ie. Has/is anyone run/running a Busa with a SYSTEM and NO PCR ??

It's NOT that I'm a miser (

) but, I keep
hearing about the PCR's breaking-down? or going wrong?
and, if it's for the sake of more power etc, I'd rather leave
the Injection etc alone...

AS LONG AS IT'S NOT GONNA RUN WEAK ! !

[all this is abit hyperthetical ATM as a)i don't HAVE a Busa
and b)i may just plump for bolt-ons anyhow.... it's only the
photos of 'rusty' downpipes and mid-pipes that's makin' me
think a system may be neccessary rather than a
luxury

have not heard about things going bad but Most bolt ons do not need a PC for them can use stock ecu for that most of the time it will sound a lot better but no Hp gain maybe 1-3

better off getting full system is about the same price and get more performance out of full system

I have a pair of Yoshi pipes on my K2 they sound arwsome and have had no effect on the running of the bike although i am about to fit a PC111R and K&N filter, this i am having done at my local Dyno centre to make sure the bike is set up correctly. I reckon she should hit around the 165 bhp. A full system gives more and saves on weight but i just love the twin pipes:D

In my own case I have a pair of Scorpion cans and some straight thru mid-pipes and the bike runs just fine here at sea level ??

Yes I did and it wasnt easy as one side is slightly different to the other - sounds really good too Im told.
There is quite a restriction in the stock ones and I was too much of a cheapskate to buy a full system. The end cans were off my previous VTR and i got the pipes made up for about US$150.
As I said earlier it runs just fine here at sea level without playing with the fuelling !
