bottom of fairing seperates

I noticed when cleaning the bike the bottom of the fairings twards the front of the bike spreads apart about 1 1/2 inches.I placed them back together several times now,and after each ride they spread apart again.Has anyone else noticed this, and if you have how what can you do to stop it.

All 1999s did this which was why suzuki added the extra screws on the 2000 model in that area.

Drill 2 small holes on each side of split to put a small black tie-wrap through!
(depending on colour of bike of course you might wanna go for different color)

I have a better suggestion. Just order the parts for the '00 model (screws and rail, brace, bracket, whatever you want to call it) and drill the holes to connect it.

Thank you Joker That is what I was going to suggest.
Also find a 2000 and make a template so you know where to drill.
