Bought a new computer

It's pretty cool, man. 250 gig hard drive, 1 gig of memory, 20" digital flat panel monitor, dolby 7.1 surround speakers, media center with the media source program, tv card, upgraded video and sound cards. 4 year in home service warranty. It's pretty damn awesome. I ran my sattelite into our computer and am watching the tele while hanging on the .org. Pretty cool. Been happy with it so far.

My other system got fried and my hard drive was crap, so we decided to upgrade. And I wanted something with the media center, the tv card, sound system, etc.

I think it was mid eighteens altogether, including the printer, scanner, copier. Not too bad, I think, for the 250 gig hard drive, gig of memory, etc.

Now I'm gonna need to find a bigger desk unit, etc. This was the desk we had the little lap top on, and moved the new computer to here. Kinda cramped, but cozy, I guess.

I was looking at a similiar package with the E521. Can you run the TV feature through cat5E to another room? I have home run based (2 x2shdRG6 and 2Cat5e) wiring to two locations in every room and would love to hook up something like that to it. I'm still shopping.

Hmmmmm....

I'm not sure what Cat5E is...you lost me with a little bit of that, but...what I have is direct sattelite, DSS, and with the TV card in the Dell I was able to simply run the cable from the outlet to my sattelite receiver, and from there to the port on the back of my computer, and Voila! I had sattelite through the media center package I had them install. They had said that it would work for regular cable, antenna cable or sattelite, etc, just as if it were a tele. The media center package is really cool, too. Make sure you get the remote package too, so you can use your computer remote to switch channels, run the DVD, turn the sound up and down. Oh, the TV card also has a DVR (Tivo), so you can record your shows on the computer just like in your living room. It really is cool. PM me if you want, and I'll try to send you the specs for the system I had them put together, if you want.
