Bought a used Corbin.......hate it

The seat lowered me 1.5-2". Not sure if it's been modded or what but I couldn't ride very far with it. Caused pain in my right wrist and right cheek.
Any one have ideas about this? I was thinking about a riser and Buell pegs, but this seat requires it and to me that doesn't seem right.

The right cheek pain is from your wallet being smaller.

I have sat on a few corbins and did not like them. the "sharp" edge of the seat did not feel good on the inner thighs.

just my 2 cents.

had a Corbin on my '01 and ALSO did not like it. I am looking to having the seat on my '08 "reshaped/refoamed" for more comfort.

My bum used to ache like heck after a short ride. Had it cut back and redone by new image now I can ride for hours in comfort

The Tobin looks like it also drops the rider a couple inches which would force me into a riser and lower pegs?.! I'm comfortable with everything stock (at least for now) so I'm not sure I want a Tobin either.

Everyone is different I prefer the Suzuki gel seat one problem is that maybe that seat is not broken in /formed to your bottom. maybe give it some time?

I figure a seat is like a pair of boots.
The best boots don't ever have to be "broken in."
They fit right from the first step.
So goes a seat. JMO

Give it some time to break in to fit you. I bought a Corbin years ago. Tried it for a couple of days and then sold it because I didn't like it. Bought another one to try again, hated the stock or gel seats, gave it some time to break in and its the best seat I've owned. Corbin's need break in time.

the tobin will drop you in a bit but real comfortable. i decided to cut an 12x6 piece out and drop in a gel insert that i bought of flea bay. i am 6'2" and this worked real well for me. i didn't sacrifice any leg room and my seat looks stock.

To each there own, but I love Corbins, hate the gels, and don't like the Tobin because you can't slide all the way back. The Corbin shouldn't sit you lower than the stock seat though. But you said you bought it used, so it may have been trimmed at the factory, Corbin will make your seat thinner if you ask them to. They do also take some time to break in. But you should have no problem selling it.

x2 used for 90 miles and back to the stocker.

you guys have got me concerned my corbins on its way right now ...

I have a full set to include the backrest for the passenger on the way as well. Although, Corbin claims it could take up to 2000 miles to conform to your liking.
