Hey can anyone give me instructions on how to remove the tail secion of the busa so i can get access to my frame. I was only able to find 4 bolts/screws where are the rest. Pics would be nice thanks

him- this should be really easy. I take mine off all the time in a matter of minutes to fiddle with my electrical goodies. Just pull the seat off and start taking out bolts. I think I remember a recent thread on suzukihayabusa.org where someone diagramed the whole thing with pics n all.

Him. OK I will walk you through this
1st take off the seat, then remove the 4 bolts that hold on the grab bar, then also undo the 2 bolts on the front section of the tail, they should take a small allen tool. After that take off the 2 that stick out beside where the seat goes.(the ones that you can use to hold things down with) Then underneith the tail there are 6 of those plastic rivits. push the center of the rivit with a screwdriver and it will pop. onceit does, just pull them out. Once all of this is undone, make sure you unhook your lock on the rear seat. Then slowly move the entire section back and unhook the brake lights at the connector. Pull the tail back and off. Then you will see tons of bolts and things that you need to remove. you can get those just by looking they are easy to find

I hope this helps

thanks guys i got it off. I didnt know the cargo net holds were actually stealth bolts.

100,220,500,600,800,1000,1200,1500,2000. Then if you haven't had too much to drink by then,,,,,, mothers with cotton balls or shid paper. The cast part is horrible.

wipe clean with soft cotton cloth. Then repeat with mothers again and again and ,,,,well you get the idea.

I heard of folks using zip strip to remove the first layer then hitting it with sand paper. Also if you use warm water and a bit of hand soap the metal doesn't clog the fine grit paper as quickly. Walmart has the 2000 grit. Heard billet mothers polish works better then the original mothers polish.

Don't use the stuff you get at Wal mart, that sandpaper does not hold up nearly as well as what you get from an automotive paint supplier.

Also, make sure you empty out the bucket and rinse it clean each time you switch to a finer grade of paper, as the grit in the bucket will continue to make scratches.

Looks nice!
