Hi All, Been laying low since the busa has been on blocks and the wife's cage (94 VW Jetta) got totaled A guy in F150 hit us at a stop light doing about 35. We're both shaken but not stirred. He said his foot slipped off the brake and hit the accelerator. One time I'm glad we were not on the busa.
But now the main question. I just received my used calipers (whole setup actually) and did the install. Everything fits fine except the brake lines are much smaller in diameter, about a 1/4 in. as opposed to the 3/8 or bigger on the original setup. Thus the clips on the fender are way too large. The new ones are stiff enough this should not be a problem and I already have a few ideas for a fix.
The original lines look like typical auto style rubber hose. The new ones look more like cable covers than hose. Also appear to have metal weave inside. No digital camera yet or I would post a pic.
Just curious?
