It sometimes help to pour some fluid into the caliper prior to connecting the line. If it is full of air it will take a while to evacuate it. Make sure that you have enough fluid in the reservoir.

my $0.02

I CHECKED MY HAYNE'S MANUAL AND THEY SUGGESTED TO PULL THE PISTONS OUT OF THE CALIPER AND SOAK THEM IN BRAKE FLUID AND THEN SLIDE THEM BACK IN.

Try the gravity bleed. Just open the bleeders and pour fluid into the reservoir until it starts to come out of the calipers then close the bleeders and try to actuate the calipers. If you allowed all of the fluid to drain out of the system while you got the stuff chromed then the problem may lie within a possibly empty master cylinder instead of newly chromed calipers.
