Brakes rubbing

My busa's brakes are rubbing, is that normal. I just don't remember my other bike doing this. I wouldn't think that is normal, but if it is then i won't worry about it.

Are they the EBC HH? They normally sing like a tubine till they bed in.

I'm not sure i will have to look. I just thought they were draging a little to much. I can hear them a great deal and that is really what caught my attention.

New or old pads? Stock or after market rotors? How many miles? When do you hear it? What does it sound like?

I would assume that they are older pads, since it is an 01 and i bought it from a dealer ship. The noise is just when i'm move it around with the engine off. It sounds like a rubbing noise and around 7000 miles.

Like a shusing nosie? Do you hear it under heay braking as well? how long have you owned the bike and how long have you been hearing the noise?

I guess that is what you would call the noise. I have owned since jan 06, the other day when i was moving it in the garage.

05', about 6,000 miles on it now. I've owned it from 0 miles. I always notice a grinding noise when I move the bike around without the engine running. Original brake pads, rotors,everything. I wondered myself if it was normal to be so noisey. Don't notice it while riding to much.

yeah they rub a little, just keep an eye out for "heat discoloration" or an uneven rub sound....HH's though...Oh, I love that sound.

Yea after not hearing the noise while riding I figured it was just normal. I just want to get new ones or at least look at the one on there now, just haven't had the time

I installed a set of HH pads last week and they do sing just like that . About how many miles untill they quiet down some ?

I too just installed a new set off EBC HH fronts and backs after i noticed a rubbing sound AND a decrease in breaking performance on the fronts just after 2400 miles on my 03. After about 100 miles on the EBC's, the fronts started rubbing again but they brake just fine. The backs have "chirpped" since day 1 of the install when braking and I have 260 miles on them now. Is that normal as well?

I too just installed a new set off EBC HH fronts and backs after i noticed a rubbing sound AND a decrease in breaking performance on the fronts just after 2400 miles on my 03. After about 100 miles on the EBC's, the fronts started rubbing again but they brake just fine. The backs have "chirpped" since day 1 of the install when braking and I have 260 miles on them now. Is that normal as well?

Had my shop put on new EBC's a while back when getting new rubber. After about 300 miles the back brakes started squeeling when applied. I took off the pads to check it out and found that the shims were put back in backwards!
I put them in the right way and no more squeeling.

You aren't kidding... Had me heading back to the shop... EBC HH are plenty loud, combined with the Sportec M1 fronts that sing at 40-45 mph and I have a fuggin Symphony on my front end.
