breaking in

just got a new bike and want to know what i should do??

how should i break it in? can i get some opinions?

Read the manual. Different schools of thought on this but I broke mine in according to Suzuki. Oh yea welcome and enjoy.

It all starts with the Owners Manual. It's a good idea to at least familiarize yourself with the recommendations there. Then, either break it in according to the rules, OR Grip it and rip it a few times up to redline, let it cool, do it again, then drain the oil and consider it broken in.

Some where around here is a link to a discussion or website about just this... I'll sticky it if anyone finds it.

Most importantly though is to not ride her during breakin at any set RPM for any amount of time, get some revs in her, and do not lug the motor...
