breather cover plugging it ?

i just want to know i was told to plug the breather cover that goes to the bottom of the air box to stop my back firing i have with my new map i have in the power comander is this a good or bad thing to do please help

The air injection perhaps.... I wouldn't block the positive crank case ventilation....
