Brisk Sparkplugs

Anybody using Brisk sparkplugs? I wouldn't expect a noticeable gain in hp, even though they claim 5 for 1000cc or bigger engines. But seeing how there is nothing for the spark to arc off of, you would think they would have to produce a more powerful spark. Maybe the bike will idle even smoother, throttle response is improved, or you just get to pay as much for one plug as you would for four. anybody using them?

Tested by me in 2006 zero measured performance gains. Also had two plug failures. NGK CR9EIX is a nice upgrade for stock compression.

Yeah been using NGKs in every bike for years, I swear by em, just happened across the Brisk plugs yesterday and was curios

I use them in my supercharged F-150...seem to work fine, and are much easier to R&R than OEM plugs.

Don't have experience with them on a bike, tho'.

i have run brisk plugs in 7 different bikes and never had a single issue ! with my 3 heavily modded R1s i saw better throttle response and smoother all around ! in 16 years of being in the industry I've only seen 1 plug fail out of the box and that was due to improper gapping and was not a brisk plug ! these plugs need to be changed out every 7-8k to make sure you don't have any issues ! thats my 2 cents been running them for years and still

As long as you are igniting the fuel and it's burning completely, I don't see how a spark plug is going to net you gains unless you have issues with your existing setup.

I have a GenII with a full exhaust and fuel controller. I first changed my stock NGK plugs @ 17,000 mi. They were perfect in color and I had no problems whatsoever with them. I replaced them with the same thing. When I did, I noticed no change or improvement at all from the previous great performance, starting. idling etc.

Thread is over 5 years old:laugh:

I agree with this statement,
but think maybe they could be beneficial in a 2-stroke.

A lot of threads have been resurrected here lately

Guess this winter has folks Xtra bored.....

Just fitted Brisk plugs and had her on the dyno before and after. (See my post in the Dyno section :) ) I did get a bhp increase and assume its coz the flame isn't shrouded by the earth negative electrode so burns cleaner! But I also replaced one performance air filter with another so that may be a factor but wouldn't account for the full 4.37 bhp increase and 3.53 increase in max torque I wouldn't think.
