As the weather is so Shid in the UK it was a no brainer to take the Busa to the "Fatherlande". Started from my home in Bristol at 07.30am and rode the 180 miles to the channel tunnel. Train departed at 11.20am, meet  5 nice and friendly HD riders

on there way to Paris on the train, I followed them out of Calais to get me on the right Autoroute to Dunkerque, as my Sat-Nav was US. HD"s are a bit slow, and could not keep up with the 100mph cruising speed

Slowed down for Autoroute E40/E17, 90mph was safe as there was a bit of traffic through Antwerpen and over the boarder to Eindhoven (Holland). I Crossed the German boarder at Venlo, road works from Duisburg to Dortmund, 40mph max so hard going for about 60 miles. Picked up the A2 outside of Unna with a clear ride to Hannover and Berlin to arrive at my Bunglow at 10.00pm (9.00pm UK time).
Total time taken 13.5 hours, distance traveled 780 miles, this include 9 fuel and food/drink stops. The German Autobann is just made for the Busa, cruising at 150mph legally, best I had was 175mph on a clear Autobann, will improve on that later. As for the Busa, what a bike, the gas range was perfect, 120mph or 1 hour is a tank full, about right, time for more fuel, a cigarette and a walk round to stretch the legs.

I'd love to go there with my 'busa. I was in Germany twice in the mid 90's and loved the roads. Belgium was special with the roads all lit up at night. My ride was a Fiat Brava diesel. Oh well, still got 180KM/HR going down hill between Cologne and Frankfurt
