Brock's Tripletree problem 08Busa

Just installed the Brock trippletree and can't get it where it won't hit the clutch and brack lever, I have heard of different trees that would hit but never dreamed Brocks would, I have done everything to adjust but I'm at the end of my rope, I called Brock and sure enough they said (nothing they could do), they know it hits. Where do I go from here? Any ideas, would be welcome.

lowering your bike doesn't change where the bars are in position to the plastic only the forks come up or down...the triple is attached to the stem of the frame so it wouldn't matter if it is stock height or lowered as far as it goes the bars are in the same place, what moved them is the brocks tree moves them forward to allow room so the forks can come up through, that in turn sets then 3/4 inch or so higher and 1/2 inch farther forward...you can try and take out the rubber spacers between the 2 tripples and also rotate the levers etc as much as you can...may help
good luck

yea it does suck put same tree on my 08 and as leaving my driveway brakes locked up:rulez:, down went my bike.

same problem here!

brake lever get pinched when full lock

almost dropped the bike twice!:poke:

Thinking of going back to stock with risers and still have the bike lowered

can't remember if mine is a brocks or not, but i have the same issue and learned to deal with it. At full lock the levers hit, but im never at full lock anyways.

I need full turn to lock the bike or making a U turn in a small space or trying to park the bike close to a wall :poke:

Here are some pictures.

Lowered the front about an Inch.
I tried moving the brake lever up or down in(left) and out(right) but still hitting the plastic with the lever's knuckle part?
Its not just hitting the lever cosmetically but actually braking the bike to stop.
so its scary :banghead:

I had thisproblem with my Gen I and since have found other triple solutions. But I always wondered if I dremeled out the inside of the bracket that attaches the resivoir to the handle bar clip would it bring the lever back towards the rider far enough to clear the panel. It would only need to be ground 1/8" I thought and there was plenty of "meat" on the bracket to cut. Might be worth it to pick up a used one on Ebay and experiment, especially since I think the resivors are the same GenI or II and thats what you need for the bracket. I think I made sense here but if not shoot me a PM and I will take pics of what I am talking about. Good luck let me know if you try it and what the results are. :beerchug:

well, purchased the soupy 1 inch block.

gonna try it with the Brock clamp.
Just thinking about it, it might work. Bringing the clamp back to stock height which would allow me to tilt down the levers.

wish me luck!

soupys risers and his adjustable rear links stock height to -4'' money left over for test n tune
