Broken Oil Filler cap

Ready to hit the road and enjoy the day. Noticed the oil was low. Decided it was time for a change anyway. Couldn't budge the filler cap. Tried to some vise grips to help turn it. Bam! Cap breaks to pieces. Does anyone know how I can get the cap off. Thought about taking the cover off and drilling through the cap, hoping to break it away from the threads. Appreciate any suggestions.

Before you drill it, Take a med sized flat tip screwdriver place it on the edge and tap it around by banging the handle with a small wrench handle (NOT a hammer) You want the tip of the screwdriver to dig in to the edge of the cap, but not the case! If it is still not moving then try taping firmly on top of whats left of the cap and repeating step one.
Good luck!

Will one of those reverse screws work? Definitely don't want any metal pieces in the oil.
