Brown wire for running light mod

Hi,
I have read and re read posts about this mod. Just need to clarify which brown wire to connect to. On one post they talked about a brown wire with a female end near the right turn light. I dont see one. Kinda thinking this might have been a Gen1? I do see a blk and brown wire going to the two little bulbs in the headlight assembly, upper corners. Never noticed these before. Is this the correct wire for a Gen 2?

Thanks for the help...

It's very short, located just above the right turn signal. Should be brown w/ white stripe. You might need to pull the front plastics to make it easier. Nothing is plugged into it, just a female connector hanging out there like you mentioned.

There is an unused female plug above the gauge cluster on the Gen2, but I have no idea about the color. Many use the boost by smith harness to run accessories from this location.

Thanks for the help but I still dont see it.....looked 3 more times..looked, re read your post ,looked again,re read it and looked 1 more time...
The only brown wire I see is solid, splitting off to those 2 little bulbs at the top of the head light housing.
I don't see any loose connecter. Wondering if I can just dis connect those two little lights and use that plug....

I will look tomorrow in the daylight.....I do have all the trim pieces off including the instrument cluster so I have a pretty open area. Doing a couple mods at once.

Erik, just look for a female WHITE connector. Might only have a 2-3" of wire but it's there. It's much easier to see with the entire front pulled off rather than looking down through the gauges.

there is no un-used connector on the gen 2's, only gen1. Gen II the parking lights above the headlight are plugged into it, actually 2 of the 2 pin female connectors, my harness plugs inline to either of those 2. yeah the wire you are referring to could be tapped into there for key on power.

Bless you..you just saved my sanity... I was wondering if that was the case. But I know how easy it is to overlook something.....
