BT-016 Pro

Okay guys, I'm within 500 miles or so of needing new rubber. Has anyone got any longevity experience with the new BT-16 Pro? I am pretty happy running the BT-16 front and the BT-23 rear but a want a 190/55 rear tire that will last at least 4K miles and they dont make a 190/55 BT-023.

SteveO, someone on our ride was sporting a set of 016 Pro's....

Having said that, to reply to the OP, we just put 1600 miles on a set of Q2's, the rears still had a few miles left on them. We rode almost identical ride last year with 016's and they were completely down to the wear/bar and even cord upon return. I am convinced a Q2 will last significantly longer than an regular 016.

P.S. There was a 023 with us that didn't have hardly any wear at all on it....

I'm running a 23 rear now and it has been great with nearly 5K on it. I want a 190/55 and I cant get the 023 in that size (apparently not offered). I have read that this Pro 0165 is supposed to have a longer tread life than the previous version.

Per Bridgestone 60% longer front/20% rear - without dry grip loss on the 16PRO

I've been thinking the 16Pro front/ 23 rear for my Busa thats always ridden two up but don't particularly like this trend of lack of real rain sipes . The 23GT front has the center groove at least but i don't need the heavy sidewall on the front. I wish they would put modern rubber compound on a BT56 style front or perhaps similar to the old D220 front.

I was watching FP2 at Mugello this morning wishing for some durable wet tires just like they had mounted . Bridgestone's in a street tire coma .

Man.. I dunno Keith. I ended up with about 2200-2300 out of both sets of 016's. The previous set of Q2's were toast at just short of 1900, and after this ride, I think this fresh set is gonna be about the same.

Mark, same trip as last year, and the 016's we were on, with less mileage, were down into the cord...

Seeing the kind of miles you guys get out of tires makes me feel like a real wimp on the throttle.

I think I got about 2500 out of my BT-016 rear.

From the UK mag BIKE.
I have a set of the new BT 016 pro on my gen II and they are amazing.
It is early to say but it looks that these will easily outlast my previous BT 016 "standard"
Grip is incredible.

That's a Pro?

Don't forget Trey, that 2K miles includes a trackday which probably ate about half the tread

Half day (remember I had the 003's on the first few sessions), but I also have about 8 passes on the 1/8 miles track too (no burnouts with best time of7.09 & 111 mph), so really not bad for the 016's. Putting the other set on Wednesday or Thursday.
