Bunch of self conscious hayabusa owners?

So I have been on this board for a little bit now and not really posted much, but I have lurked quite a bit. My question is this:

If everyone here BELIEVES that the Busa is the greatest thing since cold beer, then why do so many folks post about the ZX-14 being so fast and such a threat?

Furthermore, why do we collectively defend our bikes as if their honor has truly just been called into question?

If everyone is soooo tired of the ZX-14 posts; as am I. Then don't post back, the thread will die, and we can continue to live a beautiful, blissful 'busa existance. For those that are really curious about the thing they can buy one and start up a ZX14.org site and post its accolades ad nausium.

everyone is in denial about the 14... if it is fast oh well... the busa cant sit on top forever... someone was eventually going to make something faster... IMO most here that post about the 14 positive or negitive has that feeling that "there honor has been brought into question" and that they will soon not be the "king of speed" anymore... i myself dont like the 14 and could care less if it is faster, makes more horsepower or has more torque.... good for Kawasaki! but geeze the thing is butt ugly! If Suzuki "updates" the busa this year with a bigger motor, i bet that ALOT of people will drop there "old" busa like a bad habit and run to the nearest dealership and barter for a trade in...

The majority of the many folks you speak of... All seem to have a post count of 2 to 19 posts. Probably no busa and only seem to be here to fish for responses....... just my 02 cents... In the end its all about what makes a person happy whether it be a busa or a 13.5.
