Busa 2006 LE

Was wondering how often do you have to get the valves set on this beast, and what is the cost involved? My ZX11 you had to get them done every 10000km or 6000 miles, wondering if it is the same situation with the Busa. And my second question is, is it possible to do my own 1000 mile maintanance on the Busa with out any techinical tools required. As I read into it it looks like an oil change, check the bolts to make sure everything is tight and fluids and pressures and you are out the door, is this correct or am I missing something here. Any advice would be appreciated thanks Bruce.

you can do all the maint. yourself. Check your chain tension often. I wouldn't take my bike to the stealership unless it involved warranty work.

Everyone that i know of that has checked valves finds out that they are fine.

I have a 06 LE as well.
Spent extra $$ for the warranty so I am concerned about preserving it. If I do all of the maint. and document it myself will my warranty be ok?

yes it will be fine... I asked that question when they sold me my 5 year warrenty... will you still back up my warrenty if work is not done here or if i do it myself... your fine... only advice they gave me is if a failure should show itself to clean the rubber from the fender before beinging it to them................enjoy

That was when they dropped it off with 0 miles here is today with 496 and a hump !
