Busa Looks

I just bought a 2000 red/gray Hayabusa yesterday. I've heard and read some negative comments about the looks of the bike, but personally, I think it's a great looking machine! I could have waited for a ZX12, but for looks, I don't like that kind of oversized "bug eyed" headlight setup. That's rather superficial, but I've also owned an orginal Z1, ZX10 and a ZX11 prior to the Hayabusa, and Kawasaki is always a notch behind the rest when it comes to fit and finish. Whether the ZX12s provided to magazines for testing edge out the GSX1300R in performance doesn't matter. It won't be by much anyway. I believe from my prior ownership experiences, my new Hayabusa will be of superior quality and run closer to magazine testing numbers than what Kawi owners will get from their new ZX12s. Now, I just need to wait for the snow to melt.

People with an eye for artistic and engineering beauty can appreciate the Busa's looks. If some people think it's ugly, it's not worth worrying about it. One thing about the looks of this bike...it will keep growing on you. When you look at it for the hundredth time, and it makes you smile bigger than ever, you know how good it is. At that moment, it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.

I walked past a Busa the first time hardly noticing it. The dealer told me that it was the fastest on the planet. Yeah right, I thought.

Now I own the fastest color too.
