On my bike, there is a build date printed on the frame. Look on the left side of the bike. On the frame, below the tank, about where your left knee would be when riding. There is a sticker there, about halfway covered by the left fairing.
This should tell you when the bike was made. From there you can figure out if the alert applies to your bike.
