Hi, Has anyone used a pin stand with a Hayabusa that does not require removing fairing panels?
Thanks for your help!
Ben

Im not to sure what "pin stands" are, are they wheel stands or some thing else?

Hi, My understanding is that stands that utilize a pin that fits into the bottom end of the steerer tube are called "Pin Stands". They appear more stable and less obstructive than front stands that support the bike from under the axle portion of the fork tubes.

proper terminology is called a "stem" stand.... most stem stands do require removing the bottom panel from beneath the nose section of the busa... jsut something u have to deal with..

Thanks, it doesn't look like there are more than 4 plastic fasteners and 2 alloy screws holding that piece in place, but the Suzuki parts fiche for fairing pieces is tough to decipher!

u shouldnt have to pull the entire nose section. u should only have to remove the 4 push pins on the bottom of the nose and remove that plastic piece.

If your Busa is NOT lowered then you don`t have to remove anything. You also can cut that pin a little.

Do you mean that the length of the pin can be shortened? I can't visualize how that would facilitate using the stand.
Thanks for a short explaination, although I'm sure I'll figure it out. I'm thinking that I'm going to order a Pitbull tomorrow.

Pitbull is the best. You need pin #6 and you don`t have to take any plastics IF you bike is not lowered.
If it is lowered a 2' you can cut 1/2' from that pin and it will fit and hold just fine.
