LOOKS LIKE IM GOING THE OTHER WAY FROM EVERYONE ELSE. HAVE PIPE AND P/C 2 , I WAS WONDERING WITH 166HP AND 102 FT TORQUE WILL THE BUSA HAVE A PROBLEM. HAS ANYBODY TRIED GEARING THE BIKE FOR MORE TOP SPEED. WILL 1ST GEAR TAKES OFF BE A PROBLEM.

Rchh, I ran mine top end once or twice....I found the best for total top end is about 3 down from stock in the rear!! I can bury my speedo with this set-up and I still can hit the rev limiter. I am 177 hp rear wheel...never been radared yet but am trying to convince my cop buddy to help me out!!! The busa had no probs taking off either!!!!
Mike

THANKS MIKE , IM ON IT TOMMOROW, HAVE TOO PICK UP A CRUISE CONTROL ALSO. HOPE THE MOTOR GOOD FOR 100,000 MILES LOL. TAKE CARE MARK !!

Rchh with 17/37 sprockets are you still
using 112 link chain ?
Thinking of testing 17/38 from GSXR-750 or
TL1000, then there will also be possible to
use 14,15,16 front sprockets which gives me the advantage to have a faster acceleration.
Because I have from time to time tried to use
the 7'th gear which is not there.

Spoke with sprockets specialist today, they have everything in stock. DID ZVM GOLD CHAIN 112 LINKS $138.99 FT SPROCKET # 514-17 $ 16.99 REAR # 478- 37 $51.99

rchh before you order your chain did makes a
gold 530vm. 530zvm is not in gold, call and
recheck. as for gearing four of my friends
and myself run 196 mph into the rev limiter on radar gun and gps. if you are 175# and bike is tuned right with pipe also know how to tuck properly a 39 tooth rear will take you to 200mph in about 1.6 miles. With a 37 on rear try and race another busa you will
lose big time. unless you have 200+ hp
i hope this information has been helpfull

THANKS QUICK, I THINK YOU MAY BE ON TO SOMETHING. 39 OR STOCK WILL WORK FINE. STILL HAVE THE STOCK SETUP AT 7800 MILES SO WHEN I REACH 10;000 MY PILOT 190 WILL BE WORK BY THEN. SWITCH CHAIN MAKE AND SPROCKETS UP FOR THE PILOT 200. LATER !!!!

Not sure but the links would most likeily measure 110 since were loseing 3 off the back. Have not priced the parts yet, so im sure the m/c parts dist would know.Let you know when i find out more. Try calling sprockets specials later today.
