I just wanted to share my thoughts on the new ride vs. the old ride.
The new ride is the '03 Busa and the old is an '87 FJ1200.
I have to give a big edge in rider comfort to the FJ. The foot pegs are lower, the bars are a shorter reach and the tank is narrower. I would say engine buzz through the bars is about a toss up. We'll see how the busa does once it's broke in and I switch to synthetic oil.
I think a new seat and TLR pegs will help a lot.
I'd give the edge in handling to the busa, but the FJ is more stable when the wind is blowing hard like it was on the trip home with the busa.
Now looks and power, we'll that's not even close. The stock FJ has run high 10's new, but the busa is a rocket ship in comparision.
