Busas at Daytona?

I managed to get down to Daytona for a few hours on Saturday and had the good fortune to run into Charles Green (turbo1300) at the CS stand. Charles and a bunch of folks were clustered around Kawabusa's copper busa.

Man, what a nice looking bike. I'm particularly interested in the Ohlin shocks and what kind of a difference they made.

I've had a Penske rear shock and RaceTech GoldValves put on my ST1100 and they made a world of difference. I don't know much about the Ohlins except that they're supposed to be very good. They sure looked nice along with all the other mods Kawabusa has done.

Any other busa owners make it to the track?

I met one other guy there who's on the list but I can't remember his name/alias. It was TIN something or something TIN.

Anyway, interesting sites to see there.

There were more Hayabusas than I could imagine. I have a copper but was thinking of trading it in on a blue. I saw so many blue Busa's that it got tired of it. Now I'm not sure I want to change.

I liked the new blue ones also but I already had my black busa. Looks baaaad. ;-)

My ST is black also. Copper is a nice color, but it's an eye catcher when it comes to the cops. I wouldn't take red if you paid me. I couldn't afford the tickets. <LOL>

I passed a husband/wife team on 2 busa's on the way to the track (black & red). Was this someone from the board?

You guys were going much *too* slow. :)

I saw a bunch on the road in Daytona on Saturday morning. One guy flew down the street from the stop sign going the other way. Damn, the other bikes behind him looked like they were standing still.

Then, the Hooters across the street from the track were having burn outs in their parking lot. There was so much smoke from tires I couldn't even see the bike that was doing it.

Did anyone see the 5'3" girl riding the 2000 busa in Daytona? What a sight! Also there was a man selling lowering kits for the beast, anyone have recommendations for such items? I was there for 8 days, what a sight at the gas station near the track!

zidrider that was me tinhead.
Others from this board I ran into were CycleStuff, Kaw Abuser, and Animal. Also saw other nonline owners at Wendy's and on the road. Kaw Abusers bike sure is something else, huh? Talk about rolling showcase!

I knew it was "Tin" something. Howdy again, Tinhead.

I don't know about the 5'3" gal riding a busa but Tinhead and I were watching a gorgeous gal in a bikini right by Cycle Stuff's tent and Kaw Abusa's bike. We were going to try and get a picture of her on KawAbusa's bike but couldn't find him to get his permission.

Bummer dude.

Actually, Tinhead said that all these gals have contracts signed saying who can take their pictures and who can't. Basically, we can't.

Hey Tinhead, we should have just grabbed a non-professional out of the crowd.
