Buying a Busa soon

I suck at searching so I figured I'd save myself some time and just post. I know the early bikes (99-00 I think) had the aluminum subframes and up to 01 I think they had an external fuel pump. Other than those 2 things was there anything changed? Also should I avoid getting a bike with an external pump? Suzuki must've had a reason to change it, right?

05 is the fastest!


On a serious note, 2003 and up are the better ones in my opinion. They fixed most of the problems in 2003.

stay away from the 98's all else are good

I would avoid the 99-07 and the 08s.

Seriously, 03 and up had very few problems. Slight changes to the 06 and 07 models, but not much significant.

I'd lean toward the 03 up also, Clutch fixed in 02, 32bit ECU in 02, Starter updated in 03.

There are some other changes, but minor. Starter would be my biggest concern with a 01/02

can u use a stator from a 03+ in a 99-01 (i dont c y not)

Do yourself a favor and just buy the 06' silver and blue, it's by far the best busa they make.
