Caging the Busa

I came across a couple of stunters last night and two of them had cages connected to the subframe to prevent total destruction if the bike dropped. I was curious if anybody here has heard of any companies that sell cages for the busa. Im not lookin to turn it into a stunt bike. I just would like a little insurance in case I do drop it at low speeds while Im learning the bike. I cant be spending the dough it costs to replace the fairings. Also, if they do make them, are they removable once I get a little more comfortable with the bike?

Thanks for the help.

IMHO if you put a cage on it, it will look stupid. That and if you have one on, people are going to think you're a stunter, and ask you to do wheelies and such.

For low-speed stuff, the sliders should work pretty well.

Be safe.

There was a guy at the International Motorcycle Show in D.C. that was selling such a thing and his display bike was a Busa. I didn't get his name but someone who is into that stuff might recall it and post here.

In all honesty, if you want a cage while learning the bike, you probably shouldn't be on it. A busa is a bike that requires enough experience that dropping it a slow speeds shouldn't even be an issue. Now, if you said you were learning to do wheelies on it and wanted a cage than that would be understandable. But, a cage to prevent low speed lay downs is an oxy-moron.

Unless your going to be stunting a bike, leave the cage off. there is no way around their assing up the looks of a bike.

And yeah, your right, the busa is a pretty poor choice for a stunt bike, just a bit too long, too heavy.
