Just a thought but does anyone other than Rossi plan on competing with Casey and that smoking

Ducati this MOTOGP season ?  Although we are about mid season, Stoner seems to be getting stronger and stronger at each circuit.   Last year he was lights out at Laguna ... time for Hayden/Colin, hell maybe even Spies (yes ELBOWZ)to show up this weekend

For the Championship, it'll be Pedrosa, Stoner or Rossi. My bet is on Rossi.

For Laguna, no way is Spies going to win. I doubt highly he'll get a top 5. The level of competition is soo high and he has very little MotoGP experience. Top 10 will be great, top 15 not bad. Hayden has a shot at Laguna if everything goes right for him. Edwards I think has less of a shot at the win than Hayden, but he is very capable of a podium. The win at Laguna will be Rossi, Stoner or Lorenzo I think.

The Duc excels at some tracks and others it doesn't do as well as the fours. Last week's shorter, constant braking/accelerating track set up was a perfect example.

I asked this before, but no one answered....What's the difference between Moto GP, and AMA ? Is one like the NFL, and the other the CFL ?

I dont think anyone can count Spies out of anything, talent is talent and that boy got a boat load of it..Rossi seems to choke in the "big" races, from what i have seen the past 2 yrs watching.otherwise i dont care who wins its always fun to watch and be amazed at the skill level

+1. spies did well his other motogp race all things considered. he has a ways to go in getting bike set-up. stoner was amazing last year but this is a new year. hayden rides laguna well and stoner is looking great but you can never count out the doctor. not a pedrosa fan, end of the pack for him works for me. will take pics and post, will be there fri-sun.

I reckon Stoner will walk the rest of the year. The new Ducati engine has so much more grunt and traction out of the corners. My head says Stoner, heart says Rossi. Followed him from his early days. Stoner will win Laguna this year.

My guess is that Rossi will pull it off in the end, since the Duc just hasn't been performing as well. What's the report on Pedrosa's injuries?

Pedrosa s going to Laguna to give it a go

Broken finger , fracture to the wrist and sprained ankle .

Think it will be damage limitation for the points

Also glad to see Edwards has resigned with the same team for next year ,been having a good season

Go Rossi

Pedrosa is questionable last I heard. Though an update today is expected.

I predict he'll race no matter how bad he's hurt. Even 5 points is worth it. Brno(next race) is a month away.

Dani Pedrosa will be back onboard the Repsol Honda RC212V this weekend at the Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix, despite a fractured left wrist and index finger and sprained right ankle. The Spaniard picked up the injuries in a crash at the last round of the MotoGP World Championship in Sachsenring.

Repsol Honda confirmed Pedrosa´s participation on Wednesday morning, revealing that he had been discharged from the Barcelona hospital where he had undergone a small arthroscopic operation on Tuesday afternoon, and would be flying straight to the U.S.A.

`In agreement with my doctor we have decided that I will fly to the US and I will do my best to ride this weekend,´ stated Pedrosa, after consulting surgeon Dr. Xavier Mir. `We know that it will not be easy and that we won´t know my exact situation until I get on the bike on Friday morning. This is a difficult time for me, of course, but my will is strong and if it is possible for me to ride the bike properly then I really want to ride.´

Pedrosa finished runner up in the 2006 Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix, but will have a hard task navigating the tricky changes required whilst still sore from his German tumble. The World Championship contender is adopting a `wait and see´ approach as to his goals for the weekend.

`Laguna is a physically demanding track when you are 100 per cent, so it will be tough with my injuries, but I know I can count on the support of the people around me to get me in the best possible shape. Laguna is what I call an "Ëœold school' circuit, with a lot of steep uphill and downhill sections. The fans are great there, very respectful of all the riders, so I would like to do my best for them. We will see what we can do. I would like to thank everyone around me and also my fans for their support over the last few days.
