1 bad thing used have outboard starter on it.
Has starter now but no charging system its just runs off battery.
Will run over hour b 4 better charge battery lol kinda like electric bike

Real horse power back then had it's limitations. I had a 81 GS1000s all done up

I had an 83 GPz 1100, Wiseco 1170 kit, 30mm Kehein smooth bore carbs, it was a beast! Should have kept it.

I also had a 81 GPZ 1100. Even blew it up once. I use to live at Summit Park back in the early 80s. The elevation at the top of Parleys Canyon ( east of Salt Lake City on I-80 ) is about 8000ft. I use to run it wide open up the last section before the exit at the top because their were never any cops using radar there. One day I let off the throttle and something let go inside the motor... don't even remember what it was now.

MOO! Did this for a good customer, 1260 big block, welded crank, ported/polished (in house), cams, 38mm Mikuni flatslides, high torque electric starter, custom-laced rims (190 rear tire), gusseted frame, Kosman motor mounts, Yamaha swingarm, yada, yada. Dyno tuned 130 rwhp at 87 ft-lbs. torque. This thing is a wheelie monster and a lot of fun to ride . . .

19 yeah those were the days I wish I kept my blue and white 1986 GSXR 1100 they are worth a lot of money down here now

Heck I'm old enough to remember the Kawi Triples being the fastest thing on 2 wheels. Never mind that they were declared environmental hazards.....lol.

And in the mid 90s I had a kid that worked for me that built up the 1100s for drag bikes. 200HP was a high end number, that didn't last very long. I remember he let me take one for a spin. I remembered thinking, "This is freaking nuts!"

Speed had an entirely different perspective on those clunky bikes.
