Is this a cut out problem ? when I get to 7,000 rpm in first gear it bogs down like it needs more gas,it is ok till it hits about seven grand, it did not start when I shut it off,I opened the gas filler cap then it started right up, if anyone had the same problem please let me know

Cut out problem:

After talking with the Suzuki tech rep for an hour or so (at my local dealer), here is what they might say, if Suzuki would officially put something out in print about this problem.

The fuel filters on the Hayabusa are *very* fine, gas additives, not fuel tank cleaner/coating, are causing buildup withing the filters (brown stuff), as pressure builds up in the system and reaches over 43 psi, the ECM shuts off igition to the bike. Simple thing here. I think he also said there was a similar thing for under pressure, but I don't remember what that evel was.

The fix is to install larger fuel deliver stuff (tech bull 108 & 109) on certain serial number ranges. Or I guess we could all starting using better fuel....

There is a problem with the FI or Oil delivery. I read some where that this rev limiting is to prevent damage to the engine. Take it to the dealer and he can check for error codes.

jeffw what would be better fuel?
Or anyone?

i ran mine almost out of gas today trying to experience this "cut-out" problem...nothing . doesnt miss a beat.i just turned 5k miles and havnt had a glitch.but im not mad!!
as far as fuel ive filled up on 108 octane vp racing fuel a couple times.its availabe at some speed shops under #c-112. i bought mine at the drag strip. costs about 4.50 per gal.
i dont know if it made anymore hp but it didnt run any worse and it sure did smell good burning!!!
other than that i run shell 93 octane religously.
